Rare Breed Triggers — FRT-15, FRT-22 & More: common questions
What is the Rare Breed FRT-15?
The FRT-15 is a patented forced reset trigger for the AR-15. It resets mechanically via a lever on the forward stroke of the bolt carrier rather than through the shooter's trigger finger, allowing rapid semi-automatic follow-up shots. It is a semi-automatic trigger and is not classified as a machine gun by ATF under current guidelines.
What is the difference between FRT-15L3 and FRT-15C3?
The FRT-15L3 is a single-stage forced reset trigger with a standard curved bow and three-position selector compatibility. The FRT-15C3 is the two-stage variant in the same configuration. Both accept the full line of Rare Breed selector and parts upgrades.
Does the FRT-22 fit any Ruger 10/22?
The FRT-22 is designed as a drop-in replacement for the standard Ruger 10/22 trigger group. It fits both the base model and most factory-configuration variants. It is not compatible with the BX-Trigger or other aftermarket trigger housing assemblies.
